Heather works with paint, paper, fabric and machine stitching to create images of people and places that are colourful and witty. Her love of theatre, foreign travel and cycling through Clifton provide her with plenty of subject matter.
Heather is a member of the Embroiderers’ Guild and the Clifton Arts Club. She attends a weekly life drawing class and the Embroiderers’ Guild workshops.
She has exhibited in Bristol, Gloucester, Tavistock and Normandy where she and her husband have a holiday home. She has exhibited at the West Bristol Arts Trail since its inception and in 2015 in two exhibitions at the RWA.
Commissioned work includes houses, weddings, family portraits and, for a London steak restaurant, Aberdeen Angus cattle. Her cards sell in Bristol, London, France and the Caribbean.
